Process study of CeO2 preparation by jet-flow pyrolysis via microwave heating

Spray pyrolysis method has a disadvantage of nozzle plugging and conventional heating model causes large temperature gradient, which leads to uneven heated reactants. In this study, cerium chloride heptahydrate Venturi reactor were used as raw material core equipment, respectively. The technology microwave was combined prepare single-phase sphere-like oxide. mean size the particles near 80nm. product characterized via XRD, SEM EDS. purity, morphology energy consumption compared with spray pyrolysis. Fluent software coupled HFSS employed simulate effects different process conditions on products? purity field in reactor. There good correspondence between experimental simulated results. results showed that gas velocity Vg increased, tendency distribution did not change. lowest mass fraction chlorine element reached 0.13% when inlet 1.7 m/s. When 0.05 m/s, below 0.1%, indicated reactants had complete reaction. It been calculated cost, CO2 emission decreased sharply, method.
